Berlei Measure Guide
Bust
Grab a tape measure & measure under your bust. Run the tape measure where the bottom of your bra would go. Using the Berlei Size Chart, work out what size you are
The right bra should be snug around your bust
It's too small if the cups cut in, if the centre front is sitting away from your body, or if your breast is bulging over the top of the cup
The straps should rest firmly & comfortably so your bust is sitting halfway between your elbow & your shoulder
The strap at the back should sit low, beneath your shoulder blades
Too tight, & they'll pull the back of your bra up towards your neck & feel uncomfortable
Too loose, & they'll fall off your shoulders & make your bust appear saggy
Signs the cup size is too small - Your bust isn't entirely encased by the underwire, & the underwire is cutting into your bust. Or the centre front could be lifting away from the body. This meant the cups are too small & your bust is pushing the centre front away. The body size is too tight & pulling the wire so tightly against the chest that it becomes distorted & no longer follows the natural crease of your bust. Your bust is spilling of the front of the cup
Signs the cup size is too big - The fabric is wrinkling & loose on either cup. Your bust is sagging & doesn't feel uplifted or supported by the bra
Signs the body size is too small - The band at the back is overstretched & the straps are sitting far off to the sides. The underwire at the front of the bra is being pulled further down the ribcage
